When visitors leave comments on the site, ViolationWatch collects data shown in the comment forms, including IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
§ 02Email Hash & Gravatar
An anonymized string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After comment approval, your profile picture becomes publicly visible.
§ 03Embedded Content
Articles may include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles. External websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.
§ 04Comment Retention
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and automatically approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in moderation.
§ 05User Registration
For registered users, ViolationWatch stores personal information in user profiles. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also view and edit that information.
§ 06Your Controls
- Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies — check your browser's help pages for instructions.
- Registered users can edit or delete their stored profile information at any time from account settings.
