By accessing ViolationWatch ("Service"), you consent to these Terms of Service. Non-acceptance means you cannot use the platform.
§ 02Service Description
ViolationWatch monitors NYC property compliance by tracking violations from the Department of Buildings (DOB), Housing Preservation Department (HPD), Fire Department of New York (FDNY), and other municipal agencies. Features include real-time violation alerts, permit monitoring, compliance tracking, and educational resources.
§ 03Subscription and Pricing
- Monthly Plan: $9.00 per property monthly
- Annual Plan: $99.00 per property yearly
- 7-Day Free Trial available for new accounts
Pricing is per location/property. Multi-property accounts are charged separately for each property. Sales taxes are additional.
§ 04Payment and Billing
ViolationWatch charges your authorized payment method automatically on your subscription renewal date. Billing occurs automatically on your subscription renewal date.
§ 05Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account and selecting the cancellation option. Cancellation takes effect at the current billing cycle's end. No refunds apply to partial periods.
§ 06Intellectual Property
All content provided by ViolationWatch, including educational materials, guides, databases, and reports, is the intellectual property of ViolationWatch or its licensors. Reproduction or distribution without permission is prohibited.
§ 07Data and Privacy
Your service usage follows the Privacy Policy. We collect account information, property addresses, and usage data. Third-party sharing occurs only for service delivery or legal compliance.
§ 08Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months. The service excludes liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
§ 09Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Data sourced from NYC government databases may contain errors or update delays.
§ 10Use Restrictions
Prohibited conduct includes: illegal use, unauthorized access attempts, service interference, automated data scraping without permission, and reverse-engineering attempts.
§ 11Termination
ViolationWatch may terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct. Access and payment obligations cease immediately upon termination.
§ 12Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes resolve through binding arbitration or litigation in New York County courts.
§ 13Modifications to Terms
ViolationWatch reserves modification rights. Continued use of the Service following modifications constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes trigger email notification.
§ 14Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ViolationWatch regarding the Service.
