Do you charge per user or per building?
Per building. A building costs $9/month (or $99/year) regardless of how many people on your team need access. Pricing scales with the assets you're protecting, not your headcount.
What is the Local Law Tracker add-on?
Local Law Tracker is a $59.99/year add-on that figures out exactly which NYC local laws apply to each property you monitor — façade (LL11), benchmarking (LL84), emissions (LL97), parking (LL126), gas (LL152) and more — and tracks every deadline, penalty, and reminder in one place. It requires an active ViolationWatch plan and can be activated for any monitored building.
Why is Local Law Tracker priced separately?
Core monitoring is about catching violations and complaints in real time across 10 city agencies. Local Law Tracker is a different beast: it runs AI analysis on every property to figure out which local laws apply (façade, emissions, gas, energy, parking, lead, etc.), then orchestrates the deadline calendar, reminder windows, and penalty estimates. It is the most computationally expensive feature we offer, which is why it ships as an add-on rather than baked into the base plan.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel in one click and stay active through the end of the billing period. Annual plans can be cancelled for a prorated refund within the first 30 days, and stay active through the paid period afterward. The Local Law Tracker add-on follows the same yearly cancellation model.
What counts as a building?
One BIN — the unique Building Identification Number assigned by NYC. Multi-building lots (common for larger properties) count as separate subscriptions per BIN. Mixed-use buildings count as one.
Do you offer non-profit or academic pricing?
Yes. 501(c)(3) non-profits and academic institutions get 30% off annual plans. Co-op and condo associations with 3+ buildings qualify for the same discount. Email [email protected] with your EIN or board resolution.
Can I see usage before paying?
The 7-day free trial gives full access — all 10 agencies, all channels, every feature. No feature-gating during trial, cancel anytime to start.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
You enter a credit card at sign-up, get full access to every feature for 7 days, and can cancel with one click before day 8 to avoid any charge. If you keep the subscription, the card is billed on day 8 at your selected plan.
What if I have mixed-use buildings with multiple BINs?
Each BIN is priced separately. Our engine auto-detects multi-building lots during address setup and itemizes each BIN so you can decide which ones to monitor — and route them to different recipients if needed.
Do you support purchase orders?
Yes, for Portfolio plans. Monthly and Annual are credit card only. Portfolio customers can pay by PO, ACH, or wire. Invoice terms net-30 by default, net-60 on request.
What about ACH or wire for larger accounts?
Available on Portfolio plans. Contact enterprise to set up ACH or wire billing. Annual pre-pay gets a small additional discount on top of the standard annual pricing.
What is your refund policy?
Monthly plans: no refunds, but cancel anytime to stop future billing. Annual plans: full prorated refund within the first 30 days. Portfolio plans: negotiated in contract — typically aligned to annual with prorated credit for unused building-months on cancellation.
